CPCU.. Is it Worth ?

Is the CPCU certification really worth? I am planning to take this one in the near future. I need advice on whether it is really worth and will it give a promising career in P&C. Also I want to know on whether it is recognised outside USA.

I don't know how valuable outside the US it is, but it's worth its weight in gold in the states, and probably throughout the industry. It took me a while so hang with it, but I'm sure it helped me get jobs even before I finished all the classes. It shows that you want to be an insurance professional, and it's a good overview of the business. I say go for it, it's worth it.
